FAQs

Is the vision call really free?

100% free. The goal for your call is that you would leave the call with a clear vision, a better understanding of the ways you might be getting in your own way, and some small steps to build momentum. Whether or not you want a coach, the vision call is designed to help you upgrade your leadership.

Do I need to hire Austin as a coach when the vision call is done?

Nope! It's not a bait and switch, it's a way for Austin to serve you as a leader. If you decide your vision doesn't require a coach, the invitation is for you to think about who else you could bring in to help, or if you're actually setting a vision big enough. The leaders who really begin to leverage their leadership and upgrade their capacity know that to go far, you need a team.

What is it like to have Austin as a coach?

Most coaching clients have 3, 45-minute zoom calls a month scheduled at times that work for your schedule. 45 minutes may sound quick, but calls stay laser focused on the outcomes, commitments, and vision you have set. When two people are committed to focus and full participation, a lot can happen in 45 minutes.

Who does Austin coach?

Austin works primarily with leaders, athletes, executives, influencers, and performers who have already spent time investing in and maximizing their craft, have tried the "tips and tricks" to get better, and still have that nagging feeling that there is still something more to be done.

What matters is not the title or job...what matters is a desire to upgrade their capacity and a commitment to leaning into exploring what they are capable of.

What's the difference between a life coach, a consultant, and an executive coach?

  • A life coach helps clients with personal development and growth, but isn't concerned with professional outcomes.

  • A consultant works within a specific niche to provide a playbook, with a focus of replicating the consultant's results in each client's work.

  • An executive coach works with high level individuals and teams who want to get more done in less time with greater satisfaction both personally and professionally. While a consultant provides a playbook for the client to follow, an executive coach helps the client reinvent the game.

All three can be resourceful. If you're looking for someone to tell you what to do and how to do it, coaching isn't for you. If you're looking for someone to help you be more of who you can be, executive coaching may be the perfect fit.

How is it possible to upgrade my leadership capacity without trying harder and harder?

Imagine wearing a helmet that covers one eye, while riding a bicycle with a big front wheel and an oval back wheel. Most leaders move through life simply accepting the helmet and the wheels as requirements of the game. How do you get more done? Pedal harder. And harder. And harder.

Through executive coaching, Austin moves in and asks, "What if you change the helmet? What if you take a second and do the work of replacing those wheels?" Through that work, you're able to use the bicycle to ride further, more efficiently, and you can even enjoy it while you go...all while pedaling at a more sustainable pace.

That's how Austin helps his coaching clients get more done in less time with greater satisfaction. You don't pedal harder...you evaluate the situation to allow it to upgrade its capacity.
